St. John the Evangelist School is focused on Faith, Academics, Service and a strong sense of Community Spirit. This month, we invite perspective families to visit and experience the spirit of our SJE community. Our motto is "Living and Learning with Love." We think you'll like what you see and decide that SJE is where you want your child to be!
The Just Me and My Mom Program is free for 2 and 3 year olds and their caregivers. It is offered Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 in our school library. The children and adults that attend this gathering experience the sharing of stories, creating clever crafts and making memorable moments. Our Early Childhood Program for 3 and 4 year olds has expanded to 50 weeks to meet the changing needs of the parents in our community offering flexible hours and very reasonable rates. Children also benefit from "specials" including, gym, music, library, technology, and Spanish. The academic and social skills needed to build a strong learning foundation are nurtured in a caring and safe environment. Students in our Full-day Kindergarten through Gr. 6 program are developing skills for 21st century learning. We offer smaller classes, Smart board technologies in classrooms, and a challenging academic program that enables our students to exceed NYS assessments. The community spirit of SJE is enriched by the participation of school and parish families in our service projects and social events. Sharing in these life-enriching experiences builds greater community spirit. Through good times and times of challenge, we are strengthened by our faith, our human connections, and our supportive parish. We have an active Home School Association that seeks to provide opportunities to enhance the spirit of community. Brooks BBQ preorders can be returned to school or placed in the collection basket. This yummy event is a treat for everyone! We are also taking orders for Easter treats from Krause's Candy, order forms are available at the school. We wish to extend an invitation to our parish families to participate in our SJE VACATION CARE (Feb. 21-24) from 7:30 to 5:30. For more information or to register please contact the school 393-5331.
